Weekly Journal

Had a blast grabbing dinner with everyone from SODAART last week! It was a bummer Zheshen couldn't make it, though—hopefully we can all catch up next time.
Huge thanks to Soda for organizing the get-together. I definitely ate way more than my fair share haha.
On my way back from dinner, I stopped by a chiropractor. My lower back felt like it was about to snap in half...
Well, after the adjustment...
The chiropractor told me, "Your second cervical vertebra is misaligned. You really need to stop looking down so much... like when you're on your phone."
Me: "But I have to look down when I draw." (I use a drawing monitor.)
Chiropractor: "Try to avoid it if you can."
Right after saying that, he hooked a strap under my chin and started pulling on my head.
For a second there, I thought my head was going to get ripped clean off my neck...
When he was done, he felt my neck again and said, "Hmm, it only moved back a little bit. Seriously, try not to look down unless you absolutely have to."
While he was working on my neck, he also asked if I get frequent headaches, mentioning that there was probably some mild nerve compression going on.
Man, and here I was thinking my headaches were just from using my brain too much!
I'm definitely going to have to get a new desk and chair soon, or my body is going to be completely wrecked.
A quick piece of advice for anyone else who sits at a desk all day: take care of your bones!
On a side note, let me show you guys how I normally sit when I'm modeling.
Sometimes I literally put both feet up on the desk. It's actually super comfortable.
That is, until you've been sitting like that for a while... and then the pain makes you wish you were dead.
