July's project is finally (?) done!!!

It's a super cute shiba boy, and 小可 absolutely nailed the illustration!!!

Honestly I'm not that great with cute stuff, so when I got this model I seriously doubted myself (okay who am I kidding, I doubt myself on literally every project lol)

Anyway, let me show off a couple of the more special features — the proposal animation, and the shiba hat everyone's been asking about XD

For the proposal animation, I went back and forth on whether to do an instant reveal or a gradual one.

After redoing it a bunch of times, I realized my skills still aren't quite there — there's still a bit of choppiness to it (I did my best okay 555)

For the shiba hat, the client wanted it to feel alive, so instead of making it look like regular fabric, I went with a squishy, skull-less scalp look, and even simulated a real tail for it.

Also, some small details — I went all out on the shoe parts.

You can't really see it during a stream, but I could tell it spins smoothly and has a nice sense of depth to it.

The second I finished that part I was SO satisfied, I really do love sculpting stuff like this XD (is that a weird kind of self-torture?)

Oh, and I wonder if anyone noticed — when he talks, the skull charm's jaw on the necklace moves too lol

I had to ask 小可 to help me split that layer apart specially for it — thank you SO much, 小可, you're the best.
