This Week's Self-Reflection
I've spent this whole month wondering why everyone else seems to finish their Live2D models or artwork so quickly
I keep examining what I could improve and optimize (speeding up without hurting quality)
I used to think I was just slow because I'm detail-obsessed (or so I told myself), but after spending time with our instructors and a bunch of top talents,
I realized the top talents can keep the detail AND move fast Q that's when it hit me just how much I still need to improve
So I went and asked a friend with a really sharp sense of time management how to boost efficiency
and my friend started grilling me with brutally pointed questions Looking up references, watching tutorials, what problems did I hit, where did my thinking get stuck, how much time did I waste redoing things, and so on
I felt so called out XD because honestly, I have no idea how much time I actually spend on any of it
So my friend told me to start logging the time spent on every single task from now on
Like: 2 hours looking up references, 1 hour on the eyes, however long I got stuck on some issue, including my own break time, all of it
That way you actually know where your time is going, and can identify the problem and fix it
If you only know the total time spent, without the breakdown,
you'll forget why it took so long, and you'll just repeat the same mistake next time
Thinking about it, that's basically been me the whole time, forgetting where I got stuck last time, and having no memory of what actually ate up all my time
So I quietly started doing what my friend said XD and somehow, time feels like it's moving faster now...
Hoping I can keep getting better and catch up with everyone else ><
