[YUI's Weekly Diary #2] A Taipei Foodie Getaway

I took a quick trip to Taipei last week. While attending CWT was on the itinerary, my main focus this time was honestly just the food! Between teppanyaki, Japanese BBQ, an omakase course, and checking out a new bar, I was incredibly satisfied.
Personally, I believe dessert is the grand finale of a meal and shouldn't be an afterthought. A terrible dessert can completely ruin an otherwise great dining experience, and it's a real shame that so many places drop the ball on it. But the hazelnut caramel mousse cake I had at Chu Yu this time was absolutely perfect. I really hope I can have it again the next time I visit Taiwan.
Here are a few more photos of the food:
I also just have to say—Taiwan in mid-December is way too hot!!! I packed winter clothes expecting it to cool down, but it ended up being in the mid-80s. I almost roasted alive.
Now that I'm back, my whole body aches. I really need to go get a massage.
