Retsuma's Xiaolu Diary: What I Wanted to Say After My Debut Stream

Hey everyone~!!

Thank you so much, truly, for choosing to meet Retsuma.

And my debut stream — what an incredible amount of work that was! Thank you so much for showing up.

After all the time I put into preparing, those two hours of my debut just flew by in what felt like an instant.

I'm sure every one of you has walked your own long road to get to where you're standing right now, and for me, today ended up being a day where I could really feel the whole arc of my own life so far.

Like I mentioned in the debut stream description, there was once a dream I chased halfway and then gave up on.

I poured an enormous amount of time into that dream, starting from when I was really young.

But between all the doubts and uncertainty, once I actually became an adult, I ended up choosing "the more immediately realistic way to use my skills" over that dream.

Just so nobody worries — that doesn't mean those years were empty or wasted. Being able to use my abilities to help other people made me genuinely happy, and my natural curiosity fit perfectly into that kind of work. I felt myself and the team growing together, and honestly, they were fulfilling days.

Still, letting go of something I'd built up since childhood right as it started to feel within reach left me with this strange, indescribable feeling of being stuck in limbo — and it never stopped nagging at me whenever I thought about my life.

"Was this really the right choice?"

"Am I going to regret this?"

The fact that I could never say, with total certainty, "I have no regrets," was itself the clearest answer I ever needed.

So I'm truly, deeply grateful to be able to debut as a VTuber in an environment this supportive, and as part of SODAART.

Going forward, I'm going to keep putting even more into what I share, so everyone can enjoy it even more!

I really hope that what you just read can become a small part of your everyday life.

Thank you so, so much for such a warm welcome!!!
